2026 Dodge Durango GT Premium HEMI V8

For 2026, all Durango's now come with V8 engines. The V6 engines that were available in prior years are dropped.

The R/T trim has been upgraded: the 6.4liter HEMI 392 V8 returns, delivering significantly more power than the previous R/T.

New styling and package options like the Blacktop Redline package for R/T, refreshed wheel choices, more appearance upgrades. Tow N Go package is back as a standalone option for R/T.

Trim Levels & Engines

Here are the main trims and their engine specs/performance for 2026:

GT: Uses the 3.6liter Pentastar V6, ~295 hp and ~260 lbft of torque.

R/T: Now powered by the 5.7liter HEMI V8 producing ~360 hp and ~390 lbft of torque.

SRT Hellcat: Supercharged 6.2liter HEMI V8 with ~710 horsepower and ~645 lbft torque. This remains the top performer.

Performance, Towing, Fuel Economy

The R/T trim with the Tow N Go package has a maximum towing capacity of 8,700 lbs.

Fuel economy varies by trim: the GT / V6 is more efficient (mid20s mph on highway in many cases), while the V8 trims are less so. The R/T and Hellcat have significantly lower combined mpg than the base GT.

Features & Interior / Capacity

Seating up to seven people, with options for captains chairs in the second row.

Cargo space behind the third row is modest; but folding down the rows expands capacity significantly.

New tech: 10.1inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto, upgraded audio options (Alpine systems with subwoofers), performance oriented interior touches in higher trims.

Safety & Assist features: Blind-spot Monitoring, Trailer Tow detection, standard air bags through three rows, adaptive cruise control, rear cross path detection, trailer sway control, etc.

Pricing & Dimensions

MSRP for GT starts around $38,495 (excluding destination/taxes/fees). R/T starts around $49,995.

Trim prices go up with added features and packages. GT Plus, R/T Premium etc. have higher MSRPs.

Dimensions are largely similar among trims; overall length ~200.8 in, width about 85.5 in, height ~7273 in depending on trim and wheel choice.
